Zilker Park Parking
There are many options for parking in the surrounding areas and streets within a close walking distance. And of course within Austin city, there are car parks that can be used.
On site itself at Zilker park there is parking lots, surrounding the great lawn and south of Barton Springs Road. If you wish to use these facilities you must use the parking meters that have been put in place. The fees for this parking will only be chargeable between 8:00am and 10:00pm, whilst events are taking place. Parking is free on normal week days, however weekends are not and the same goes for holidays.
Please be aware of the fees and do research before attending an event as lots do fill up very quickly and therefore high traffic volume may be expected.
While there is limited parking at Zilker Park, if you are attending a large-scale event such as the Austin City Limits Music Festival, on-site parking will not be available. Given that around 80,000 people will be heading to Zilker Park on each day of the ACL Music Festival, most festival goers prefer to take public transport or stay at a nearby hotel so they can walk to the venue.
However, if you do want to drive and park as near to Zilker Park as possible, there are parking lots around 30 minutes’ walk away.

It is recommended that you allow extra time to find parking as the area has heavy traffic, especially during large events such as the Austin City Limits Music Festival. During the event weekends there will also be many road closures in the areas surrounding Zilker Park.
