Austin City Limits Music Festival: Weekend Two – Sunday at Zilker Park

AUSTIN CITY MUSIC FESTIVAL. 

After twenty years, the hosting of a music festival has become a tradition for Austin City in Texas. What started out as a weekend gathering of musicians in 2002, soon become a full on weekend gathering and has now grown into a two full weekend, of full-on music festival. Renovations of the park, have upgraded the facilities to increasing the performance stages to eight and the hundreds of thousands of fans have meant the introduction of many, many food courts within the park. Going international, Austin City has taken the festival to both New Zealand and to Australia, to great success.

In October of every year, Austin City opens their iconic Zilker Park for two full weekends of rock music festivals. Sunday, October 12th is the last day of this iconic music festival. If you have missed any part of this epic festival, you only have yourself to blame. There have been eight stages capable of hosting a total of twenty-eight bands on the go - every day, every day of each festival. There has been mountains of food, lakes and gallons of refreshments and mountains more festive activities for families, over the past two weekends. ZILKER PARK IN AUSTIN CITY

With a capacity rating of seventy-five thousand people a day, this newly renovated and upgraded venue has been known to accommodate four hundred fifty thousand ticket holders over a normal music festival weekend. Austin City has, wisely, done some forward-thinking and is capitalizing on this billion-dollar music industry, to help their elevate the community and better their city. They have already plowed back into the infrastructure in developing and renovating the Zilker Park. Within the city, there are a myriad of local, traditional and ambient pubs and bars from which you may enjoy a cocktail. There is a host of, similarly, high-end and upmarket restaurants, serving tantalizing menus to choose from, for a quick snack, or a slow and romantic meal. During the festival weekend, a little - or a lot - of retail therapy in the high street is available, and can add to the ambience and experience of the festival.
